“Hgarden” is a conceptual artwork that centers around a symbolic figure (a child) representing the “Home Center” of a household. The piece serves as a tribute to those who lost their lives due to incidents in the present world.
Materials sourced from home improvement stores were used, with all components assembled solely through adhesion, avoiding any physical damage. The title incorporates an anagram consisting of the location where the wounds were inflicted (municipal code), the date of passing, and the age of the deceased, all of which are also recorded on a map.
At the time of the artwork’s public release, out of respect for those involved, the statement was kept to a minimum while submitting it to open-call exhibitions. However, as three-dimensional works are often expected to embody “the beauty of creation from scratch,” the intrinsic “inner beauty” of this piece was not readily recognized.
As a response, additional statements were released every 100 days following the initial presentation of the work, continuing until it received due recognition. This approach draws inspiration from the Buddhist memorial service known as “Hyakkanichi Hōyō”, signifying both a period of closure and the continuation of grief.
As a conceptual art series, a total of 33 pieces were unveiled.
天園（てんえん）は、家の中心（Home Center）に存在する象徴（子供）が、現世で事件に巻き込まれ、命を落とした人々を追悼する作品である
素材にはホームセンターで手に入るものを使用し、傷をつけることなく接着のみで制作。タイトルには、傷を負った場所（市町村コード）、命日、年齢をアナグラムとして組み込み、マップにも記録した
作品公開当時は関係者に配慮しステートメントは最小限にとどめつつ、公募展へ応募。しかし、立体作品には「ゼロから生み出す美しさ」が求められる傾向が強く、本作の「内面の美しさ」は評価されにくかった
そのため、評価されるまでの間、作品公開から100日ごとにステートメントを追加。これは、「百箇日法要（ひゃっかにちほうよう）」が一区切りとされる一方で、悲しみが続いていることを示す意図がある
コンセプチュアルアートとして、全33点を発表
