Hgarden

“Hgarden” is a work that documents the central presence of family.

The word “garden” in this context carries the meaning of “a place to gather and enjoy” or “a playground,” and the piece embodies the hope that joyful times will continue.

The work was assembled using infrastructure-related ready-made materials readily available at Japanese home improvement stores, without causing any damage to the materials—only adhesive was used for construction. Each piece incorporates an anagram of the “place,” “date,” and “age” in its title, and has also been recorded on Google Maps. This serves as an attempt to preserve ephemeral moments in memory.

I submitted the work to a public exhibition of three-dimensional art. However, in Japan, there is a tendency to highly value craft-based works, while assemblage using ready-made items is often seen as lacking artistic merit. As a result, the conceptual aspects of the work were not acknowledged.

This experience made me feel as though it reflected the persistent influence of lookism in contemporary society.

天園

「天園（てんえん）」は、家族の中心的な存在を記録した作品である

園には「集まり楽しむ場所」「遊楽の庭」という意味があり、楽しい時間が続くように思いを込めた

制作には、日本のホームセンターで入手できるインフラ用の既製品を使用し、傷をつけることなく接着のみで組み立てた。各作品のタイトルには「場所」「日付」「年齢」をアナグラムとして組み込み、Google Mapにも記録をした。これは出来事の一過性を記憶にする試みでもある

また立体作品の公募展に応募をしたが、日本では工芸作品が高く評価される傾向があり、既製品を用いたアッサンブラージュ作品は芸術性が低いと見なされ、コンセプトも評価されることはなかった

それは、ルッキズムが根強い現代を象徴するかのようにも感じた
