The passage of time from 16 distinct points to this very moment is rendered in real time—in days, hours, minutes, and seconds.

Just as On Kawara painted each date by hand, letter by letter, fixing time within matter, twentieth-century modernism held time in the physical. “Still” uses Google Sans Flex, a variable typeface designed for contemporary digital interfaces. What twenty-first-century UI handles is not time held in place, but a flow that is continuously updated.

The temporal flows that began at 16 distinct points retain their distance from one another, advancing second by second toward the same present.

Still, yet flowing. We, too, exist within the extension of this very second.
