Tax or Love” is a work that uses playing cards to question the balance between systems and emotions.
With each card turned over, the fluctuations of society and the endeavors of humanity are revealed.

The structure, in which the strongest hand in poker—the royal flush—can never be completed, symbolizes the reality that an ideal equilibrium does not exist.

If the suit is black, tax rises; if red, love rises.
However, when one increases, the other inevitably decreases.

When the system strengthens, love is suppressed; when love flourishes, the system becomes fragile.

Yet, this is merely the surface.
The truth likely lies hidden in a place far beyond what the eye can see.

カードのスートが黒なら税が上昇し、赤なら愛が上昇する
ただし、どちらかが上がれば、もう一方は必ず下がる

制度が強まれば愛は抑えられ、愛が満ちれば制度は希薄になる

だが、それは表層にすぎない
真実は、もっと目に見えない場所に潜んでいるのだろう
