This work focuses on the social systems that continue to operate even after an individual’s death, meticulously documenting bank account withdrawals that usually occur monthly, down to the minute. Within these records are traces of life—expenditures that one would never want others to see, and remnants of daily existence.

Regardless of the deceased person’s will, the records quietly persist. It almost appears as though death itself begins a new form of life—as a continuous presence within data.

In Buddhism, there is a teaching of impermanence: “All things are in constant flux, never remaining the same.”

We continue to live on—not only in memory but also through the records we leave behind.

本作は、個人の死後も稼働し続ける社会システムに着目し、月単位で行われる銀行口座からの引き落としを、分単位にまで細分化して記録した。そこには、誰にも見られたくないような支出や、生活の「痕跡」が含まれている

この世を去った本人の意思とは無関係に、その記録は淡々と続いていく。それはまるで、死が記録として存在し続ける、新たな生の始まりのようにも見える

仏教には「すべてのものは常に移り変わり、決してとどまることはない」という無常の教えがある

私たちは、記憶の中にも記録の中にも、変化し生き続けていく
