Jeans and Canvas.

Though made from the same “fabric,”
they each speak of entirely different forms of freedom.

Jeans were born from labor,
and eventually came to symbolize rebellion and individuality.
Canvas emerged from silence,
and came to embody expression and liberation.

This work is an attempt to visualize the sensation of “wearing”
these two intertwined freedoms.
Like life itself—worn down, torn, and made familiar with time.

Freedom breathes quietly in the everyday.

ジーンズとキャンバス

同じ「布」でありながら、それぞれがまったく異なる自由を語っている

ジーンズは労働から生まれ、やがて反抗と個性の象徴となり
キャンバスは沈黙から生まれ、やがて表現と解放の象徴となった

本作は、この二つの自由を重ね合わせ「纏う」感覚を視覚化する試みである
それは、すり減り、破れ、馴染んでいく、人生そのもののように

日常は、自由で息づいている
