This work uses kanji and gender—two elements that shape the way we exist—as materials to explore how human relationships are formed, and how they waver.

Kanji hold layers of meaning and time within a single character. Gender functions as a system that influences how one is perceived and positioned in society. By visually combining these elements and building them into a single form, the contours of the relationships and boundaries we unconsciously construct in daily life begin to emerge.

What appears in this work are fragments of differing weight and shape, resting in a fragile balance—sometimes coming together, sometimes falling apart, and sometimes being built anew. It reflects how human connections take shape: never fixed, always shifting, containing both change and ambiguity.

In that sense, it resembles the life each of us has quietly built.

本作は「漢字」と「性別」という、人の在り方をかたちづくる要素を素材に、関係の生まれ方やそのゆらぎに目を向ける試みである

漢字は、一文字の中に多くの意味や時間を宿し、性別は社会のなかで人の存在に影響を与える仕組みとして働いてきた。これらを視覚的に組み合わせ、ひとつのかたちとして築くことで、私たちが日々重ねてきた関係や境界の輪郭が浮かび上がる

この作品に表れるかたちは、異なる大きさや重さをもつ断片が、バランスを保ちながら寄り添い、ときに崩れ、ときにまた築かれていく。そんな人と人との関係の姿を映している。それは決して決まりきったものではなく、つねに変化と曖昧さを含みながら揺れている

それは、私たちがこれまで築いてきた人生にもどこか似ている

確かさを求める気持ちと、不確かさを見つめる静かなまなざし。そのあいだにただよう気配に、あなた自身の築きをそっと重ねてほしい
