As On Kawara painted each date by hand, letter by letter, fixing time within matter, twentieth-century modernism held time in the physical. Still uses Google Sans Flex, a variable typeface designed for the contemporary digital interface. What the twenty-first-century UI handles is not time held in place, but a flow endlessly updated.
Still, and still flowing. We, too, are here, in the second that continues now.
