A label affixed to the surface is a social signifier—of value, trust, and authenticity. Yet once peeled away, it cannot be reapplied. In its place, the word “VOID” emerges.

Whether we choose to remove the authentic, reveal the invalid, or remain silent—each of these choices can only be made so many times.

Today, even painting is often spoken of not through questions, but through prices. Yet perhaps true art was never meant to be framed by the economy, but rather to reflect the world outside its borders—and therein lies its beauty.

In a world where everything is only temporarily possessed, we too are marked by invisible labels, constantly expected to prove our “authenticity.” But does what these labels represent hold any true value?

In any era, may we retain the clarity to look past symbols and see the essence for what it is.

And if “VOID” appears like a wound, may we recognize that in its very imperfection lies our humanity—and our beauty.

表面に貼られたラベルは、価値や信頼、そして本物であることを示す社会的記号である。しかし、ひとたびそのラベルを剥がすと、元に戻すことはできず「VOID（無効）」の文字が浮かび上がる

本物を剥がすか、無効を見せるか、あるいは沈黙を保つか、そのいずれも、選べる回数には限りがある

現代の絵画もまた、問いではなく価格によって語られることが多くなった。けれど本来の芸術とは、経済という額の中で描くものではなく、外に置かれた世界の在りようを映し出すことに、美しさがあったのではないだろうか

すべてが仮所有にすぎない世界の中で、私たちもまた、目に見えないラベルを貼られ「本物」であることを絶えず求められている。だがそのラベルが示すものに、果たして真の価値はあるのだろうか

いつの時代も私たちは「記号」に惑わされることなく、本質を見極める心を持っていたい
そして、もし「無効」が傷のように映ったとしても、その不完全さこそが、人であり、美しさである
