LAST MILK
Unsteadily Stacked Glasses Filled with Milk
With every glass emptied, the name of a primate appears on its bottom. Each one is a mammal that, like us, was once nurtured by milk on this Earth. Yet many of them are listed as endangered species in the Red List, and may soon vanish from this world.
Today, our society is filled with words like “diversity” and “sustainability.”
But behind those words, how many of us are truly facing the reality of “lives that are disappearing”?
“Humans first.” “Tomorrow’s work.”
Are those really the most urgent matters for all life on Earth?
Are we not profoundly mistaken in how we set our priorities?
If we do nothing, the glasses will simply become empty.
So what if we became the ones to fill them next?
Even just a little at a time—
Just like the love and milk that once nourished us.
