21grams is a work with a look that will undoubtedly appeal to fans of Pepper, while also referencing the weight of the soul, as suggested by Duncan MacDougall’s experiment (“three-quarters of an ounce”). It packages this concept using familiar objects from different eras. The keyword “Docks” (where inspections and repairs are carried out) is included, and as a connection to other works, the Daoist concept of the soul (Konpaku) is also incorporated. A total of 18 conceptual art pieces were presented.
